<p>The Application Status for UCSC said
"Your fall 2008 application has been withdrawn from further consideration. Unfortunately, based on the transferable units you have previously earned, you have been determined to be in senior standing and our campus does not accept applications from senior transfers."</p>

<p>I went to CSU, but for the last year been going to CC. I have 56( 73 at the end semester) and 45 from the CSU. But I thought since CSU units won't be transferable they won't count. Is there something I can do?</p>

<p>Ohhh man.... That really sucks. No CSU units are transferable to a UC depending on UC schools wants to accept from a CSU. Honestly I think your in a really tough situation. I don't think you will be eligible for acceptance at any UC campus because you are considered a senior transfer. Hopefully the CSUs will accept you back as a senior transfer. Did you talk to a counselor?</p>

<p>I talked to a counselor at the CC he said I wouldn't have problem. At the CSU I was still Junior Standing. My plan was to transfer for winter/spring when I have all my lower course for my major I could do at CC done. I just applied for UCSC (its also my 1st choice) for fall just see what happens. Assist shows non of the course are transferable.</p>

<p>That sucks about UCSC but at least you can still go back to a CSU.</p>

<p>After searching seems like UCR take students with 80+ units. UCI doesn't say anything like UCSC says it doesn't. I emailed both to see. Is it harder to transfer in the winter?</p>

<p>similar stuff happened to me with calpoly. i applied accidentally as senior standing.</p>

<p>I don't know how relevant my post is but I got a notice from San Francisco State U. a couple months ago saying that I had not met their qualifications for admissions because I hadn't taken speech and health.</p>

<p>I got the same message from UCSC and it happens to be the first UC I've heard from. <em>sigh</em> I hope I get accepted to either UCI, UCR, or UCSD.</p>

<p>I emailed seeing how they would calculate the units. Wouldn't they still only count 70 units from ccc? iambianca how many units do you have?</p>

<p>They calculate it like this:</p>

<p>(transferable CCC units) + (transferable CSU units) = total transferable units.</p>

<p>If your total transferable units is over 90 then you're considered to be insenior standing and won't be admitted. The 70 units comes into play only once you're admitted and they're calculating transfer credit.</p>

<p>I hope your wrong, but doubt it. I have 20 units from the csu only 6 are transferable , but I will have more then 90 from ccc when I transfer.</p>

<p>drifto2k: when spring sem ends, i'll have 91 units. all taken from CCC and transferable to UC and CSU.</p>

<p>i also have some units from a university from another country, but i doubt that they'll use everything for credit. the number of units for the classes there are much lower. for example, calc 1 would be 3 qtr units at that university. for UC, i believe calc 1 is like 4 qtr units or more. plus, that university doesn't use letter grades. so, i don't know what's going to happen to my application to the other UCs.</p>

<p>UCSD asked for a copy of my transcript for that university though. Which is good because I know that they're actually reviewing everything from me.</p>

<p>i think cal state doesnt have limits on the units, so at least you can go back to cal state.</p>

<p>I want do information system and the csu are more into the business side, while UC are more into programming. UCR and UCI doesn't have limit and offer the program so I will try to apply there for winter.</p>
