<p>Hi! I applied to Swarrthmore ED and was just wondering if you guys had any comments about my chances there or at the following schools:</p>

<p>Carleton College
Haverford College
Davidson College
Macalester College
Wake Forest University</p>

<p>GPA: 4.2 W/ 3.8 UW
SAT I: 1400
SAT II's (ick): let's just say combination of 3 is > 2100
By the end of graduation: 4 AP's, 3 Honors (at a tough private school) 5's on all AP's so far
I'm half Indian and live in NC, if that makes a difference!
I was homeschooled for the majority of my academic career...</p>

<p>Played violin/fiddle for 7~8 years (orchestra, etc.)
Volunteering at library, sporadic Operation Xmas Child, etc.
Speech Team Captain - helped to found a team over the past few years
Speech itself: lots of awards, lots of time invested
Varsity Letters in Swimming, Cross Country
Participation in the school plays....
(award-winning) Literary Magazine Editor
NHS
Nation Merit Commended Scholar
nominated by school to attend a leadership conference this past fall
Sue Myrick's primary applicant within the Republican Page Program</p>

<p>I think you will definately get into Swarthmore. I know someone that got in there with a 1300 sats, 1 ap, and only a few ECs. Good luck...</p>

<p>I hate SAT II's they kill more people than they help. Good Luck, Swarthmore is a hard school. They send me info hoping I apply so they can reject me and keep their acceptance rate so low, but I was too smart to humor them.</p>

<p>From Daughter: Davidson rocks my socks. I've heard.... um.. shall we say interesting things about Swarthmore, very contradictory. But I thought it would be worth trying. Best of luck!</p>
