My Article that I sent in with Apps.

Here is the article I wrote that I sent in with my applications. Perhaps Poli Sci/ International Affair majors will find this interesting.

~Matt

That's pretty sweet, man. Where are you applying? (I'm not sure I want to know...)

I am applying to U Penn, Harvard, Brown, Columbia, Cornell, and Georgetown (SFS), u?

Just Brown. Gah.

where do you go now that you work for the Institute for Gulf Affairs? I googled it see it's a DC based think tank... that's an amazing internship/job. I feel really lame for just working for a senator right now, slash like I need to write an op-ed about it, I'm applying to Harvard and Georgetown too, although I'm applying to the College at Gtown.

I go to a small school in MD that nobody has heard of, u?

haha, University of Vermont, I work for Senator Leahy. I'm showing 25 Afghani leaders around a New England town meeting, maybe I should write something about that and send it in? Your internship seems a lot more impressive than mine. I'm so nervous about Gtown, do you want to trade/edit essays, or have you already sent yours in?

I've already sent Gtowns in. You can send me your essays if you want. I will look over them.

Don't be nervous about Gtown. Whatever happens, happens.

lol

why did i even bother applying

I don't think the article will have any real effect on my admissions. I just thought it nicely supplemented what I talked about in my essays.

great piece. very well written; props.

matm, how old are you? are you a junior or sophomore transfer?

y17k: why do you keep saynig that?

yes, this is jack :D

Does anybody want to talk about the article? Any Muslims? I posted the article to break the monotony of the "rate my chances thread" and to hopefully pull peoples' minds off worrying about their chances by talking about something else.

At the same time, yes, this post is on-topic because I sent it in with my applications :) :)
