I was playing it in my car and the first song was on.
Mom: what’s this song about?
Me: IDK I haven’t had to time to look up the lyrics. I think it’s about consumer culture, though… Also it’s about Kanye West, b/c EVERY Kanye song is about Kanye West.

Hahaha he’s amazing and hilarious I love Ye.

As for Lupe, he deserves so much more credit and recognition! It especially bugs me when people unfairly malign rap because they’re just thinking about Lil’ Wayne et. all. My dad said that all rap lyrics sucked. I asked him had he ever heard of Lupe Fiasco? He said no.

Hurt me soul is amazing. However I think my favorites would have to be in no order, Failure, Lupe the Killer and The Coolest. However I’m a huge Lu fan and can rap his entire discography by memory (well if I could keep up with Go Go Gadget Flow). I’m still working on his mixtapes, but his flow on some of those songs are just crazy.

Did any of you guys hear about Fiasco Friday? I wish I could have went, if I lived anywhere on the east coast I would have definitely showed up to show my support.

I was surprised at first by all the Lupe fans here, but now I think about it, it makes sense. Most people can’t comprehend Lu’s lyrics, but I feel like your average CC’er way more intelligent than your average joe. Unlike all the idiots out there who listen to Wayne, Soulja Boy, and Waka Flocka, we can truly appreciate Lu’s music.
