My Berkeley Application

yea, so we dont need to list the hs classes out, do we?

give high school transcript to cc when doing IGETC cert. and send transcript to UCB when accepted.

krnoodlz: thanks so much for clarifying! couldn't have done it w/o you! UCB class of '11 baby! i did it!!!

hahaha! we did it!!!!

question- when im filling out the UC transferable courses summary, do i total up the units for ALL the classes including the ones that i planned to take for spring 09?

No, how would you know what grade you're going to get?

^ thats what i said when i called up the undergrad office for CAL and the woman said that i had to list the planned courses under row 14: in progress section. WTH?

okay so i dont lol just up to fall 08, including the winter class im taking now right? just making sure.

ok so I'm still a little confused?

1) If I took foreign lang. in HS, I just check the box without inputting any grades?

2) If I took both semester and quarter units concurrently, do I just fill them out for the GPA as SEM and QUART or do I convert it to one?

3) So I don't add my planned courses to the gpa?

THANKS! I'D LOVE HELP on this!

Hmm... grey, i'm still having trouble finding the answer to one of my questions.

For one of my major prereqs (US History), I was told I could just transfer my AP exam score to fulfill it. Where do I note that? Where do I note other AP exam scores too because what it seems like - you only state AP exam scores for languages?

So Spring 09 courses are still considered as PL(planned) right now?

Since Spring semester has already started, don't they count as IP(in progress) instead?

I'm really confused whether to include Spring units on "row 14: in progress" in 1st section or not...

I am putting IP for spring semester.

Can someone help? It'd be so .....helpful ....lol

Do I add Spring units to the IP row 14 in the form and do I total it as well?

As per my Berkeley TAP adviser, yes, you include your Spring semester units as IP and include them in your total unit count. If you're taking Winter session (like me) you can note in the bottom comments box the distribution of the units (i.e. for me = 6 units in winter, 16 in spring, 22 total).

Thanks a lot! That really clears my problem...

i seriously can't believe that all of these potential berkeley students are having such problems just filling out the application. If you read the directions it tells you to add IP to the column before totaling them all up.

if you read some of the comments on here, not all of them are referring to the IP situation.

I should have more specifically said that it says to highlight all transferable courses, included planned and IP, and then to total all highlighted units.

My problem is I am taking quarter units..and spring as not began...So do I still add spring as IN PROGRESS even if it hasn't started?

I thought I answered that black & white... geeezzz, I feel so much better about my potential success at Cal. ;)
