better they have a sense of humor (even if it is bad), than a sense of utter arrogance and say ridiculous statements like South Africa is the safest country in the world! and Dont worry SPF cream is just a myth, your skin just peels and it is fresh again and you start over

the problem with this poster is that he lists everyone as being essentially an “idiot” or “dumbass” when they in fact probably have no clue of the other person’s academic capabilities. Why should that person adhere to your standards and beliefs as long as they are contributing to their achievement in transferring. Another problem with this poster is that they think things will be different when they transfer, and it is true that things will be different in the light that these things will happen again, but this time all the students won’t be letting you get your grade so easily anymore and offend you even more because they are more comfortable than you because they can do this and have been in the driver seat longer than you

there are idiots in America and they are more likely to end up in CC than any other place. I saw my fair share of morons in community college and therealist is naive to think that there aren’t morons, idiots, or dumbasses in ccc.

an 8 month bump feels good

HAH I remember reading this months before. Thanks for bumping it!

Lolllllllll

i got called out as a racist the other day for bringing to light the use of personality types to subjagate whole communities. i was obviously commenting on the dangers of doing this. it seems like any time i bring up something involving race (usually to condem it…my husband is AFRICAN after all…not african american…straight AFRICAN) but because i am white everyone just assumes i am being a racist b*tch. it is starting to bother me.

and when i say african…that is with full knowledge that africa is not a country. lol. just wanted to set up the african/african american thing

It shouldn’t be offensive to anyone in jest. We’re all descendants of African hominids anyway. Race itself is inherently funny because it does not exist outside genetics, but we make it exist every day by giving it the power to separate people.

Sarah, just because your husband is African it doesnt mean you cant be racist. Just look at Lou Dobbs. Not saying you are racist but marrying an African doesnt automatically disqualify you from the title.

That reminds me, I was called a racist and “stupid” by some of my Hispanic peers in class because I wrote about illegal immigration (probably the wrong thing to do at a Hispanic college.) It was my first English class, and I felt it was pertinent at the time and interesting to write about. Some people are soo ignorant, narrow-minded that they don’t like constructive criticism and an analysis of a topic that is controversial and/or different from their personal beliefs. As a very open person, who enjoys debates, I find this annoying-no matter the issue at hand!

@ USMC0311

I don’t know much about Dobbs, except from that Onion article. I think it’s safe to assume he acts different on TV, compared to his personal life.

Being against illegal immigration doesnt make you racist. Being against all Latino immigrants legal or illegal because you think that they are responsible for 7000 new cases of leprosy makes you racist. Calling African Americans cotton pickers, including our former Secretary of State makes you racist. Lou Dobbs is married to Mexican American woman. Thats Dobbs for you. The point is being married to another race doesnt disqualify you from being racist, and doesnt give you immunity from making racist comments without backlash.

But back to the original post, there are a lot of morons like this at the country ass ccc I used to go to.
