My Chance...ADVICE PLEASE!!!!

Hi, I am a international student from china and I came to America four years ago (<--excuse for odd SAT scores). below is my vitae.

I am interested in Yale, Princeton, Harvard, MIT, Rice, Stanford, and UF. what is my chance of getting into them?

btw, the reason why I apply to those top /private schools (except for UF) is that they are rich (except for Rice) so they provide a little bit more financial aid for internationals.

I really appreciate your time and effort ^ ^

again, THANK YOU !

Everyone on these boards wants to go to those schools. I suggest doing a college search based on your own personal happiness than on someone's outdated concept of prestige.
That being said, in order to be competitive for some of the places you listed, you may need to raise your Reading and Bio scores.

Thanks for your advise.

...I need financial aid. If I go to other schools, they won't provide much financial aid for international students, and even for those school, the scholarships are incredibly competitive. If i don't get into those schools listed, then i don't think I can get scholarships from any other schools either *sigh

yea, i think i'm gonna retake SAT I, prob take SAT II physics as well...

but...I'm applying to this college match scholarship, and if i got matched either yale or princeton ,it would mean that i get into those schools w/ a full ride. but they just take SATs taken before or in Oct, which are the ones I have now. both applications are due nov 2....seems like i am not getting the scholarship

You should look at smaller colleges. They can provide tons of financial aid, while still being strong schools. Those colleges that you are looking at...it's all a crapshoot. ^^;

but...those financial aid are for ppl with SSN, i am international so i don't have a ssn

even those dual-enrollment don't help???

*SIGH

You are right, but not all small schools are like this. Soka U is an example of a school that treasures international applicants.

.....i think i'm going to UF then ( if i get in, i don't think it's that competitive) since the bright future scholarship covers the full tuition for any public U in fl
