<p>For CMU - Planning on applying to the MCS for biology/biochem</p>

<p>Random Stats:
-Asian Female
- 216 PSAT
- 1520 SAT
- 94.18 QPA/about a 3.75-3.8 GPA?
- No SAT IIs -taking them in January for CMU (aiming for about 650-750)
- Extremely bad AP Calc AB score - 2 (hopefully they won't notice it)</p>

-Courses as of right now: AP Calc II BC, AP bio, AP Chem, History (Honors), English (honors), Spanish 4 (honors), Tech and design II (honors), Computer Programming (Honors-college credit at community college), Fitness/Health (honors-yes honors, it's sad)</p>

<p>I have similar stats as you. I looked on the old boards, and saw that 2 very strong applicants were waitlisted to ECS (one had a 1600, and both had lots of 800s on SAT IIs). I don't mean to freak you out like it did to me, but this shows how competitive ECS is at CMU. DO NOT make the mistake of using Carnegie Mellon as a backup if ur applying to this department.
