My chance at Columbia college ED

I'm not a US citizen but a korean boy who goes to a high school in the US
I'd like to major economics at CC

academics
- GPA low 3.74 weighted in a very competitive New England high school (there was a kid who got into columbia SEAS with lower GPA. my college conselor is not "too" much concerned with my GPA. taking one of the hardest courses at school)
- SAT I: 2200
- SAT II: 800 IIC 750 chemistry 720 bio M 770 Ic
- 4 APs so far: 4 on physics B (10th), 4 or 5 on chemistry, BC cal, bio whose grades i didn't get yet

teacher's recommendations and college counselors probably fairly good or great (obviously i don't know but very good relationships with college counselor and teachers)

prizes

-talented at math

essays
I didn't write them yet

Above are my brief evaluations. I don't really know if I should retake some SAT IIs. What do you guys think? strength? weakness? chance for ED?

I think it's you're SATI and GPA that are iiues, the SATIIs look fine. Assuming you got close to 800 on the SATI, that does not l;eave a great CR score. I also suspect your class rank isn't the highest. I suspect you're aiming high for Columbia.

I am assuming you are applying to SEAS. From my standpoint, you look very good. Your SAT scores are fine and your EC's are pretty well rounded for an engineering student (Columbia likes much more well-rounded students).

Best of luck to you on your application.

Columbia College, Class of 2009

that is because of my English grades. I got C+ on my sophomore year and got B for my junior year. It's obvious that it is improving and i'm pretty sure that i'll get a better score next year. Although I had some Bs in my junior transcript, in my second semester, I got straight As except for English which I got B+ and my college counselor told me that he was going to talk about it on my recommendation form.

PS I was going to apply for CC

I wish I have a good chance!!
