International student from New England.
sat1-2300[would be around 2350 ultimately][hopefully,and very possible]
gpa-2.95,i changed 5 high schools, which hurt my gpa a lot,and i will write it in my essay.
rigorous course load

I will skip the freshman year by passing my AP tests,so i do not need financial aid.

I’m pretty sure you can’t “skip” freshman year with AP credits at Maryland… There was a nice thread about this somewhere, you should check around for it…

I’d look for that thread, but you don’t skip being a freshman. Even if you have enough credits to be a sophomore, you won’t be a sophomore for everything on campus. (ex. you may get to register a bit earlier for classes – at the end of the sophomore registration period – but Reslife/etc. will still consider you a freshman).

I think even with your gpa your chances are good, I don’t think they would deny someone with that good of sats. Try as hard as you can to get your gpa up though.
