I see you posted a chance me here and at Purdue. Your stats are solid for both. GPA a bit on the low side for Purdue. My son is also looking at both schools. If you haven’t considered it, check out Iowa State. Like VT and Purdue, its similarly sized (25,000 undergrads, 8,000 in engineering), beautiful college town campus, division I athletics, tons of clubs and strong greek life. While the engineering program isnt quite as strong as the other two, ISU has a very good reputation and hosts the largest engineering recruiting fair in the country each year. Admission is based solely on a formula that uses standardzied test score, gpa and the number of academic classes take. A good choice for a safety school. You should be a lock. You can apply online and receive a decision in 48 hours. Good luck.

Thanks for your feedback. I haven’t considered ISU but I’m going to take a look now. so far I have only applied to Ohio St, Purdue, VT, Penn St, UIUC and Texas A&M. Thanks for the suggestion!
