My chance / Interview ?

Hi!
I'm an international student who applied HMC as Early Decision 1.
I just got an e-mail from HMC saying if i haven't submitted video interview for early decision, please do so by December 1st via MYCOLLEGEi (recording and sending a 4-min videoclip).
I'm just wondering whether I should or not, cause I've read some comments in previous post saying interviews might also have a bad effect :-(..

Oh, also, do they send notifications out by e-mail or mail?

Btw, I'm female :D

I’m guessing you’re a Korean in Indonesia (or some other south east asian countries)
I’m Korean too
To make things short, YES!
To be honest, you’re not the strongest applicant, but with those stats added with ED and female-advantage, you have a very high chance

By the way, I’m confused about the video interview thing too. But, I decided to do it.
Dear people, should I try to speak cool or rather just extremely standard, you know, the monotonous interview tone. Neither would really be faking my attitude.

wow, how did u know?
I AM Korean living in Indoneisa :-D!

well, you taught korean, so obviously you’re a korean
and you did some Southeast asian activities.
I wouldn’t have been convinced with just the fact that your dad’s workers are Indonesian, though, cuz there are a lot of southeast asian workers in korea. Not meant to be offensive if I sounded so.

oooooooooh icic kkkk
I heard there aren’t many Koreans at Harvey Mudd
hope both of us get in!

I know!!
actually i’ve been exchanging emails with a korean in HMC
and he says there’s only 6 (hopefully he’s wrong)
that’s like 1~2 per class!!

6 for the whole school?
there’s like 80~100 per class in my highschool.
well… at least the school’s nearby LA so that we can have Korean food once in a while:D

you’re so right. I am so gonna make an Asian food club and buy ingredients from LA and cook food at school.
By the way, do you have facebook? If you do and if you don’t mind, send me your name and school via private message and I’ll friend you right away. If you want to be careful, which I understand, I’ll send you instead

somehow, sending private message doesn’t work :frowning:
do u have msn? if u do, add me:

I do, but I rarely use it. I’d rather stick with skype.

Did you get in?

yeah she did ;)
