SAT II: Math2C-760 Chem-720
took all Honors and alot of AP classes.</p>
<p>Sports: Tennis 3 year Varsity, Track, Soccer</p>
<p>Activities: Debate, Chess, Science League, National Honor Society, and other small clubs.</p>

<p>Internship/Volunteer:
I did alot of tutoring but majorly, I interned for a residential architect.</p>
<p>If you ace your essay to AAP, and if you are right about your portfolio being very strong, plus given your internship at an architectural firm, then you have a decent shot. Unfortunately acceptance is far from guaranteed, even for many qualified candidates. In 2009 AAP accepted 160 applicants out of a total pool of 1,103, which means that the college has a pretty selective acceptance rate of about 14.5 percent. And the pool is somewhat self selecting, in that predominantly strong candidates seek admittance. Still, you have a fighting chance. Good luck!</p>
<p>Pretty much all the ED AAP crowd on CC last year got shot down (myself included) so it is indeed very tough.</p>
<p>Your portfolio is the deciding factor - Have lots of strong freehand work (I called the admissions director to see why i didnt get in, she said i lacked enough of that… which was true because 60% of my portfolio was my digital artwork.)</p>
