Officer in school Liberals Club.

What is your UW GPA? You have good enough SAT scores for UCD, if you can write a good admission essay I’d say it’s a match.

If your unweighted GPA is below a 3.6, UC Davis would be a low reach because your ECs are too weak to make up for it

My unweighted GPA is 3.4. I thought the UC’s used weighted GPA’s.

I thought the UC’s used weighted GPA’s from 10th and 11th grades. Am I wrong?

no. You are right. but they only give you extra points for 8 semesters. even then, your GPA is still below average. and from what I’ve heard from others, they care a lot about GPA.

Do the UC’s not look at freshman GPA’s?

My GPA is my biggest concern. That’s why I took the SAT subject tests even though UC’s do t require them. I heard that they will consider the subject test scores and AP test scores.

The UC’s only consider grades from 10th and 11th grades.
