My Chance Thread Got Ignored... Posting Again(stern)

<p>I am a rising senior. I am a korean who started living in America 2 years ago. (Started as a freshman in high school in 3rd quarter) My ED is Stern, and I am thinking about applying to Ross school, Cornell Engineering, USC business, WashU business, etc. </p>

<p>Ethnicity : Asian (well, duh. =p)
GPA : 3.85(UW), 4.2(W) => My transcript shows a very steady upward trend.
Rank : Unknown. Our school says that they do not rank, but I think they are lying. If I had to guess, my rank is around top 10% at minimum.</p>

<p>School Level : Very competitive NJ public high school. Ranked top 5 in our county, where as our county is within top 5 of NJ.</p>

<p>SAT : 560 verbal, but my score is steadily rising and I got a 610 on my current real p.test, and I have 3 months to go, so I am expecting quite an increase. I am aiming up to 650.
760 Math - gonna get an 800 in Oct!!!!!! =D

800 Math II
670 Physics - retaking it in Nov, which is the last test date for Early.</p>

<p>APs - Junior - AP Calc BC (5), AP Euro (4), AP Music Theory (3)

(my school does offer APs until Junior year)</p>

<p>College Program - Carnegie Mellon (Intro to Robotics - B, Intro to Electrical Computer Engineering - C =/ )</p>

<p>TOEFL : 111 out of 120</p>

<p>you might get really lucky and get into one of the schools if you apply to all of them because you're relatively new in the states</p>

<p>That verbal score will hurt however colleges will see that you learned English recently and might give you some slack. As for now though, all those schools look like reaches. If I were you, apply to schools like Rutgers, Stevens, and TCNJ as some solid matches.</p>
