I have a 4.0 GPA in high school( I don't remember weighted or unweighted), and I'm in a lot of extracurricular activities. Ive also won awards and publications. I have taken practice tests and I've made a 1870 on the SAT, and a 30 on the ACT. I'm also a good writier(in a pleading voice). Do I have any chance of getting into Cornell, assuming that I do well in the interview and have good recommendations?

You have a great GPA and it looks like good extracurriculars. It depends on your course rigor, depth over breadth in extracurriculars, and improving your ACT score a bit. 30 is a good score but Cornell is an Ivy and it’s difficult to get into. That being said, essays count a lot and Cornell has a large student population so there are relatively a fair amount of people that get in. Some people would even argue that Cornell is one of the easier Ivies (not that any are easy) to get into just based on the number of admitted. I would definitely apply if you really want to go there. The worst that can happen is they say no. Everything is so subjective with college acceptances anyways so you definitely could get in!
Best of Luck!

^people who say its the easiest clearly got rejected from Cornell. Admssion rate is higher because cornell is like 3 times larger than the other ivys. It can accomodate more students, hence accept more
