My chance to IUB and Kelley School _UG_NEW

These are my stats and wants to know what are my chances to get in and what are if any possibility. I live in new Delhi and am an Indian (so International Applicant). My first preference is Indiana University (Kelley School - Direct Admit) so thats why applying.

SAT 1 - 500 in every section

Extracurriculars : Worked with President of India on Residential Gardens
: Worked as Special Assistants to two Union Ministers
(Ministry of Defence and Home Affairs)

: Delhi State level 8 time Gold Medal Champion
: 11th Best Archer in State of Delhi
: Certified (presented certificate) as A level student by British High Commission of India by professor of Oxford University.

: FEAR Game Champion (whole India) Year 2006 -PC GAME
: Visual Basic Programmer (1st) Distinction) by NIIT India
: High School Board Member of Debating and Economics Club

and lots more like this which all I have mentioned and posted to the appeals committee

The reason I could not get a good SAT score is which to the base of my appeal is the date on which I had my SATs. My sat 2 was on November 2007 and SAT 1 on January 2, 2008. The year from June to end of February I was suffering was typhoid and jaundice. I am still recovering but I am not that wll but am ok. Even with this I was suspected to diabetes one year before but its not serious but the case is of preliminary stage. The disease can be cured with medicine. Therefore I am having in months lot of diabetes and other medines. I was weak then but better now but am not that fully well.

Do you think my circumstance will be well to get me considered to IUB??

To Note::
I rank 4/50 students in my class. The Indian system or the education sytem does not have a GPA system. But for consideration my marks in most of the subjects are mostly in between 80 to 96 out of 100 marks in all subjects that I have in from class 9 to 12.

Q 1. I submitted my application on March 2008 - Mid. The admissions office has got it and I am in the review. IS there a chance to get accepted to IUB and Kelley Direct Admit.

Q2. If yes or no who gets the scholarship and if then who - the Indiana citizen as well as international student?

Nope..srry no direct admit but u can apply ur sophomore year.
and srry no scholarships either..in fact im not sure if u will even get into IUB.

Zouman - Why do you say I can evn get admitted to IUB?? Specific reason/s??

Does my STATs suck?? Do anyone have any idea what else or more can I do to cover up my low SAT score to get into IUB and to be considered as an serious student?? Any type will be helpful or directions or hints.

Also I had and have these subjects in high school - will these be helping like in class 9 and 10 I had microeconomics. Then in classes 11 and 12 I had these particular subjects business studies, accountancy. micro economics, macro economics and both english literature and language.
Does these subjects taken help and also many of the matter in these subject like in economics, business studies and economics is (I don’t know but I presume to be of 1st or 2nd year college level)

Will also having morethan 90 marks out of 100 marks in class 12 final exam (high school) help to show my english proficiency and fluency.

Admission to Bloomington is soley based on your academic performance (GPA, class rank) and test scores. Extracurricular activities (except sports), recommendation letters, and essay are not considered. Bloomington looks for students finish top 25% of high school class with a GPA of at least 3.25 and SAT scores of at least 1200. It also looks for students with at least three years of math, four years of English, 2 years of social sciences, and 1 year of natural science. You may still get in if you score less but it is not as assured.

i think your SATs killed you, and it will most likely be a rejection from IUB.
