First my stats - I attend Purdue, my overall GPA is 3.7 - science/math/engineering gpa - 3.85 (only received a B in calc 1 and physics 1, the higher leveled courses are A's)
I started as an electrical engineering major, switched to biochemistry, then now chemE. Though I have good reasons to back up every switch and I am confident I will not switch again.
I have over a year in biochemistry research (should have a publishment before I apply, not 100% on that though), a semester of a haptic interference engineering research, tutor chemistry, and am currently starting a business.

My 'story' is pretty sounds/unique. I'm NOT playing the pity card in the essays, though I was misdiagnosed in high school and the first 2 years of college, put on chemotherapy and many other medications. I'm planning on stating this to explain discrepancies in my transcripts and my low ACT/high school scores. I am very determined to do big things in life, and plan on my career to be my life. I have taken a year off of school to get my health together, and have sound reasons to want to transfer to this institution.

SO.. what do you think my chances are? Will my ACT/high school grades have a large impact? I've been in college for 4 years (3 by credit hours).
thanks!
