My chance!

I moved to America eight months ago and I am about to apply for University of Washington, Seattle, UC Davis, UC Irvine and UC Santa Cruz. I am a US permanent resident. My current GPA is 3.71. My SAT score was 1180 for the Oct 1st, I retake it on Nov 5th, my ACT is 23. I know both of my test scores are low compared to students who live in US their entire life. I just have over 50 hours of community service since I just moved here. I join Interact club, Christian club and Math club. And one more thing, i don’t have 9th-grade transcript but complete all A-G courses requirements by taking 8 online classes in 2 months. Does it affect my application? And with that GPA, test scores and my situation, will I still have chances to get into one of those school?
Thank you
I hope to get the answers soon because I am really confused and worried.

I think you need a new list of schools in which the middle fifty percent has test scores similar to yours. I don’t think you will get into any UCs or UW. Your ACT is below the 25th percentile at U Washington. You need to use the Supermatch tool on this website and put in your grades and test scores. You can also try for test optional colleges, as your GPA is good. Good luck.

If you cannot show that you have completed 11 of the 15 a-g course requirements by application time, your application may not be reviewed. I would confirm by contacting UC admissions for a definitive answer.

I agree with above poster that test scores are low for the schools on your list. You need to formulate a list based on your current stats. Add UCR/UCM and some Cal states if you are a CA resident to your list.

Yeah sadly because you moved here recently a lot of the ACT has to do with your ability to read English at a high level. I am assuming you did very well in math/science and poorly in english, reading, and writing. I wish they had some sort of way for students who recently moved to America, IMO they should have a test for students who recently moved to America
