Hi, i wanna transfer to a better computer science college. What are my chances to transfer to UIUC, OSU, or university of maryland?

Does anyone succeed transfer to the above universities with the same situations as me?

Thank you for your time.

UIUC recommends that you have around a 3.2 gpa for computer science transfer, in their school of arts and sciences, and as a general recommendation for school of engineering a 3.0 gpa(mechanical and a few others majors are more competitive).
They also want you to have the recommended classes finished. They have a list of recommended/required classes. (physics/calc/2 semester of english, etc)

I’m not sure how they like out of state transfers, but for in-state. But for in-state they say you have a ‘good chance’ if you took the classes you should have and have their ‘recommended’ gpa. " For most majors, if you meet the GPA guidelines and complete the required coursework and you will be admitted." - Assistant direction of admission.

UIUC has a pretty decent site for transfers to look at compared to most schools with a lot of info. You might want to check it out. They also have an admissions blog that is very very in depth and answers a lot of questions. Search google for it.

Also, UIUC will end up being expensive with crappy FA, so you might want to take that into account.

you may also want to look at cmu, they are pretty solid for computer science also!
