I am asian and graduated from an asian high school so it's kinda hard for me to know which school should I apply to, is this or that a reach,... Could you guys please help me out?

ECs: (not much, since it's hard to have ECs in my country with all the heavy-loaded homework and other stuffs)
- volunteer at the red cross
- summer work at a national pharmaceutical company
- volunteer at a local hospital
- studied one year in France
- some other national awards in French language and high school scholarships
- summer work at a university

I'm thinking BU, UT Austin, even Georgetown (but I figure it will be a huge reach). What do you guys think? Can I even dream of top 20 schools? Thanks a lot!

Bump… Help me out guys, I would love to chance you back if I could, but sadly I have no idea about any colleges here in the US. Pretty pretty please!

Are you still living outside the US? Financial aid is harder to get for international students unless you apply to need blind schools like Princeton, Dartmouth. If you really need the FA, try looking at schools a little below your reach because they may be more likely to give you FA.

I didn’t know that, thank you putnamehere. So I’m thinking U of A, ASU, Temple U, Ohio State U, any other suggestions? Do you think I can still get into BU with FA? It’s my dream college :(

Your GPA is a little weak for NYU, but you still stand a decent chance. One thing I will say about NYU, though, is that it costs a lot and has terrible financial aid.

University of Texas seems like a decent match for you, I think UPitt and Penn State would also do well.

Thanks, I just checked their websites and included them to my list, but I feel like they are more like “safeties” to me. Well my GPA is stellar in my country but apparently they are too weak here I’ll try to get my revenge with the SAT this october then.
Any other suggestions guys?
