My chances and suggestions....

<p>Hi. I'm an upcoming junior in high school, which means I have a little time, I was wondering what my chances were of being accepted. And any suggestions are welcomed.</p>

<p>GPA (All I have is an unweighted GPA, because my school doesn't allow for us to take AP classes until our Junior year): 4.0</p>

<p>Freshman: 2 honors classes
Sophomore year: 1 honors class
Junior year: 3 AP classes, 1 Honors class, 2 classes off campus at local college, 1 online class in addition to semester classes
Senior year: 3 AP classes, and additional classes at local college</p>

<p>Ranked 4th out of a class of 94</p>

<p>Extracurriculars: 1 year Varsity Competitive cheerleading-State-Runner Up (Freshman year)
1 year JV football cheerleading (Sophomore year)
2 years Varsity Basketball Cheerleading--Captain
(Next year I'm cheerleading varsity football, and also varsity basketball, where I will be captain for the next 2 years.... and the cross-country team).
Chorus-1 year
Yearbook- voted People and Clubs Editor

<p>And a of course, volunteer work and job experience should be on here, but I'm a little tired of typing. I haven't taken the SAT yet, because once again.... my school will only let us take it as Juniors.</p>

<p>I don't understand how your school has any say on when you take your SATs; that's weird. </p>

<p>Anyways, I'm assuming you just posted this chance thread to brag... you're pretty much more than fine, assuming you'll continue performing as well as you already have. Do well your junior year, get good SAT scores, and it shouldn't be a problem. To give you an idea: SU's most selective school's average acceptees had an uw GPA of 3.7 and SAT (CR+Math) of 1300.</p>

<p>No, honestly, I wasn't sure of their selectivity. I had wanted to attend Syracuse, but I didn't know any schools that were a parallel to it. Sorry, if I came across as bragging.
Our school actually holds the SAT's, so if I wanted to take it earlier than my junior year, I would have to travel about 3 hours to get there.</p>
