Using this: https://secure.csumentor.edu/planning/high_school/gpa_calculator.asp#calculator ,
my 10-11 GPA is 3.15
My high SAT score:
Math: 520
Reading: 480
Writing: 450
ACT:
English: 22
Math: 23
Reading: 16
Science: 20
Composite: 20
What are my chances of getting into CSUF, SFSU, SJSU, CSULB, and CSULA ?
Am I exempted from CSU’s ELM/EPT placement tests or should I retake the ACT / SAT
Are there any other colleges that is recommended for me?
Intended major: Anthropology / Biology Sci.
My Senior Year Classes will be:
Physics (Third yr of Science)
Spanish 3P (Third Yr of Spanish)
BritishLit H
AP Civics/MacroEcon
Pre-Calc (4th year of math) (w/ trig in the summer prior to 12th grade)
Choir
What do the acronyms mean?
Cal State Fullerton, San Francisco State University, San Jose State University, Cal State Long Beach, and Cal State Los Angeles
CSULA/SFSU: Match
CSUF/SJSU: High Match
CSULB: Low Reach
I also think that you will have a better chance as an Anthropology major vs. Bio major since the majority of CSU’s Biology programs are heavily impacted.
Did you retake the SAT? Your other post states 970 for Math+CR and GPA of 3.17.
Here is the EPT exemptions:
A score of 500 or above on the critical reading section of the College Board SAT Reasoning Test
A score of 22 or above on the ACT English Test
Here is the ELM exemptions:
A score of 550 or above on the mathematics section of the College Board SAT Reasoning Test
A score of 550 or above on a College Board SAT Subject Test in Mathematics (level 1 or level 2)
A score of 23 or above on the ACT Mathematics Test
I would add a non-impacted CSU campus to your list such as Monterey Bay or Channel Islands as a safety.
I would go check to see what their average SAT scores are and see if you fall within their range
SJSU is the only CSU to publish last year’s admission threshold by major.

Like most CSUs, they use an Eligibilty Index to evaluate freshman applicants. It is calculated by multiplying your CSU GPA by 800 and adding your M&R SAT. Based on your 3.15/1000 above, yours is 3520. Last year that would have gotten you into either program (bio/anthro). The threshold is significantly lower for Anthro, i’d suggest you apply listing that major. If you apply for Molecular Bio - you need a 3700, which means you won’t make it.
I also think you’ll make CSULA and SFState.
Long Beach and Fullerton are unlikely without a significantly improved SAT.
Sonoma and Humboldt are worth a look too.
Good luck.
