My chances as a transfer student?

Okay, I want to start with the fact that I’m not exactly sure if I’m gonna want to transfer; I’m just strongly considering it.

I applied to the University of Southern California this year and was denied, so I’m going to be going to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the fall. If I wanted to reapply to USC for my sophomore year, how could I go about increasing my chances of getting in? Or should I even bother? This is all just granted I don’t love UNC and want to stay. If I wanted to transfer to USC, how could I improve my chances? Thanks.

As a transfer student financial aid packages may not be available to you. If you have scholarships at UNC Chapel Hill keep in mind that they won’t be there at USC. Weigh the cost of attendance and see f it would even be an affordable option for you. My suggestion would be love the school that loves you and embrace it.

You will love UNC, it is a wonderful school and gorgeous campus with huge spirit and pride.

As said above, embrace it for all it offers and let USC go for now. Do what you want to do at UNC, don’t spend it posturing for USC. Transfer apps are due Feb 1, but don’t spend your time at UNC thinking about that. Check in with yourself over the winter holidays and see how you feel. You will be taking basic math, writing, GEs the first semester I would assume, and any of those would typically work at USC. So forget about it for now - we are Trojans, but I can admit, it is cleaner and cheaper and beautiful at UNC!
