well? i'm just getting scared that i'm not good enough...

may i ask why u took it so many times? i would take the act if i were you. colleges can't see how many times u took it- they only see ur best score. plus i found it A LOT easier. i got a 1410, 790 W on SAT and a 34 on ACT which is equivalent to 1520.

first time was for fun. second time was for real i REALLY should've canceled it because i did bad. and so i took the third to redeem the mistake.

and i thought you had to take the new sats, but i ended up doing mediocre...

Rice and Cornell are good shots. Harvard and MIT are reaches. You need more EC leadership or some other way to stand out. SAT is decent by combining scores. How is your writing score? Find at least one safety where you can be happy. There are at least 10,000 other applicants at H stats. There are 1600 seats at H.

You have some statewide/local awards.
That might push you in to Caltech/Mit
Your scores are pretty low though, but nothing you can do about it now.

I agree with hello. I skipped the SAT and went right to the ACT. 33. My friend, ranked 3rd, tried the old SAT. 1200. Her ACT = 34, which is over a 1500.

I found the ACT to be more difficult. Maybe i just had a bad day. But you have a great shot at Cornell. Try ED or SCEA for one of them if you really want to go there.
