my chances at chapman U?

<p>i was just wondering what my chances are of getting into Chapman U under the following circumstances:</p>

<p>weighted GPA: 3.8
SAT:1930</p>

<p>extracurricular activities:
marching/concert band</p>

<p>Clubs:
Leo club
FBLA(future business leaders of America)</p>

<p>Volunteer:
-hospital
-tutoring
-traveled across the country to help homeless children with an organization</p>

<p>Just a few more Questions (: :</p>

<p>-what else should i do to higher my chances in getting into chapman U ?
-what other universities would accept me?</p>

<p>i really, really need help and advice on what i should do.. please help (:</p>

<p>i've seen people with similar stats get in, so i think you're good.</p>

<p>With your stats you could be looking at better universities than Chapman. Of course if there is something you like in particular about Chapman then you should deffiantly consider it. You are a lock at chapman and probably could get some sort of scholarships there.</p>

<p>I think you have great shot at getting into all the schools i listed other than USC, Stanford, UCSD, UCLA, and UC Berkeley.</p>

<p>For the UC schools, i could compute your odds better of you could compute your UC GPA (your soph jr capped weighted GPA). But im guessing it is slightly lower than your weighted GPA.</p>

<p>I agree with ucchris, you can do better than Chapman. University of San Diego, Chapman, and Redlands are all about the same. Pepperdine is slightly harder to get into (you'd get in there too) Personally, I wouldn't go to any of them because I think you can get as good of an education at a school like UCI for a lot less money. If you are in state, apply to the UC's. Definitely apply to USC. You never know.</p>

I'm basically asking what Stee asked but without a GPA, and for film, or will these stats get me into the main university and then hopefully my supplemental essay into the film school? Anyway, I'm from Kenya and would love to study film at Chapman next year. My stats - well I can only give those that are the same in the America as well as Kenya;</p>

<p>Swim team - member (national level certificate)
School Choir - Juniour Official, Secretary (national level certificates)
United Nations club - Secretary General
French club - Coordinator (national level certificate - choral)
Drama club - member (provincial level certificates)
Table tennis club - member
Student council (Class representative)
Old people's homes visits
Oh and a few 'help age kenya' certificates from when I was younger.</p>

<p>As for my portfolio, it only consists of written work because getting your hands on equipment in kenya isn't an easy task, but I'm working on it...literally.
Anyway, I know my chances aren't so great but hey, if you don't knock you'll never know if anyone's home.
