have you accomplished anything in your EC's? It looks like you could have, but just being presidents, etc is nothing that will get you into JHU, Columbia, etc.

Your experience in band is really strong to the point that it is uncommon, yet not rare at that level.

Depending on the quality of your EC's (not the quantity that is listed), I would say this:

JHU (ed): match to slight reach
Cornell: match to slight reach
Columbia: reach
MIT: reach
UMass: safety
Georgetown: match to slight reach
Dartmouth: slight reach

lol!!!!!!!!1

by 'match', well, what does that mean? does that mean if i applied there i should get in or does it simply mean i have a 50 percent chance there, assuming my essays ans recs are decent, and what is reach, my chacnes of gettin in are less than the precent accepted yearly?

Reach = not likely to be accepted; less than 25% chance
Slight Reach = not likely, but reasonable; 25-50% chance
Match = reasonable, but could go either way; 50-70% chance

Reach may generally mean that your chances are less than the average applicants. But at top schools like Columbia & MIT so few are accepted that schools are still reaches even if you are above average.

Match at a top school is 50/50 among my peers. You have acceptable stats but recs and essays will weigh in, so that part can't be judged.

You look good for ED at JHU.

I see you're the captain of your math team, which means you should have really good math stats to back it up. The 790 math iic is okay(I'm not going to ask you to retake it since it is pointless) but a 800 might be better since you're the captain and all that. Anyway, it would be nice if you also had high AMC and AIME scores as well as some math awards or whatever. This shows quality and substance instead of just a position.

800 as opposed to 790, are you serious??????????????????

nah, please don't get me wrong. I'm not saying its bad, but for all the math team captains at my school have 800sat math and 800math iic and high amc and aime scores and all that. And a 790 is like 6 wrong out of 50.

sorry, sorry, I'm not one of those obsessive grade grubers, dont flame me
