My chances at Dartmouth, Rice, Cornell?

<p>These schools are my highest reaches. Here's some stuff about me:</p>

<p>Class rank: 10/650
Gpa: 4.389 (weighted)
SAT: 2070 (650 CR, 710 Math, 710 writing, 11 on essay---not a great score but I only took it once and have a good ACT)
ACT: 33
SAT II: Math II=710
Us History=740
Aps: English: 5
US History: 4
Currently in 5 AP classes this year, will take the AP tests in Spring.
Several Academic awards
Member of Marching Band that placed top 10 in nation, we practice extensively and are recognized throughout the country</p>

<p>Girl Scouts-currently working on Gold award, received silver and bronze
Should have good teacher recs coming in
Good essay writer
Part time job, 12 hours/week during school year and summer</p>

<p>I’m not too familiar with Dartmouth since I’m not applying there, but I think Rice and Cornell should be matches to reaches for you. Use your ACT score. I think the SAT IIs could have been higher, and maybe a few more APs before senior year, but that’s probably something small. Were the rest honors classes and such?</p>

<p>side note: which band are you in? because I’m in band too! we were going to go to Nationals this year, but the scheduling didn’t work out for us that well :(</p>

<p>Your stats are pretty decent, esp. your ACT in comparison to your SAT. You really should’ve had more AP’s your Jr. year, that’s a real biggie (although overlooked by most CCers since its so common). I’d have your band coach/teacher/conductor/leader-guy write you one heck of a rec to really show any dedication in band (as it’s high ranked and seems to be your only EC).</p>

<p>Unless this band thing is really big, I’d give you a high to mid-high reach mostly because of a lack of any other EC’s (they understand it’s hard to balance, but you still should’ve had some clubs and some leadership at the least).</p>
