Can i get into Davis with this. really anxious…

my grades really sucked by the way UC Davis isnt that hard to get into as long as you have a 3.5+ with some honor classes its pretty much a done deal heck I think you can aim a little higher perhaps even UCSD

No offense, but I think you guys need to update your knowledge about difficulty of getting into certain UC's nowadays. I'm tired of seeing people rattle off schools as being easy "safe matches," "for sure your ins" and all that other nonsense. It's getting much harder to get accepted and schools like Davis are no longer that easy to get into.

For example, with a 4.0, 1440, and 160 hours volunteering at UCLA I didnt get into UCSD. I had to choose between USC and Davis and I'm going to Davis because SC was a stretch financially.

I'm just saying, don't underestimate the caliber of people that go to these schools you consider safe matches and all that, it's irritating to us that do with credentials that allowed us to get into much better schools..

Seriously, just cause you didn't get into your first choice, doesn't mean you can bag on the D. I know dude with 3.6 weighted and 1200. Seems like he'd get into the D right? Cuz the D lets everyone in with 3.5+ and 1100 plus. Nope, didn't get in.

Corrupted, you do have a very good shot though. I'll give you 85-90%.

I honestly think this is an accurate prediction- one of my best friends had almost identical stats and was rejected. I also had very similar stats, but was accepted on appeal. You certainly have excellent EC's which would probably move you into the Match category, but certainly not a safety.

I am not a student but have observed this process for a while, it looks like the poster has a good chance but nothing is safe at UC admission. Just look at the past years' admissions and you will see some students with lower scores accepted over students who appear, on paper, to be quantitatively more qualified.
