<p>Vanderbilt recently became my number one choice school. My mom wouldn't let me apply early because I had never visited the campus. So, I applied regular decision and I applied for the Cornelius Vanderbilt Scholarship. I'm not sure if my stats match up to most CV winners or even Vanderbilt acceptances. Let me know what you think...</p>
<p>SAT: M-680 CR-650 W-730 Total-2070 (my scores will be my downfall)
ACT: 30</p>
<p>GPA: it will be somewhere around 4.35</p>
<p>10 AP classes; taking 5 AP classes and regular calc (math isn't my strong point)</p>
<p>I've taken 10 AP classes overall: three 5's and two 4's and then 5 more this May</p>
<p>We don't find out class rank until after first semester, but I am probably in the top 2% (valedictorian at my school)</p>
<p>Race: White
Geographic Location: Wealthy area in southern california...doesn't exactly add any diversity haha</p>

Really involved with the American Heart Association (lobbying with state senators, representative at community health fairs, and summer internship)

<p>My Scholarship essay was very well written, but not very creative. Basically, it answered the question: my academic passions and interests, but in a very thoughtful and organized manner.</p>
<p>So what do you think? My scores don't match up, but maybe I still have a shot? I sure hope so! :)</p>
