My Chances at Haas

Hey everyone!
I'm an aspiring Haasinian (I just made that up haha)
and I would like to know my chances at UCB, specifically at Haas
This upcoming fall will be my second year and I will have completed about 43 units.
GPA: 4.0
E.C: work at private tutoring institution both as a tutor and an office worker
Student senate for 2 years
Business Academy this summer
Anthropology Symposium
Likely law firm internship this summer

Catch?:
I'm an korean immigrant and i speak and write spanish fluently I took up to native spanish class.
I will have both prereqs and breath requirement done by the end of this fall

So what do you think ?^^

more E.C.s

AGS
- fundraising chair
Honors Transfer Club
- Publicist
Writing Contest
- selected 150 among 5000 contestants

I ran for the student government election but lost haha
is that still relevant?

good stats, but still can't say anything when you don't have your essays ready. Good luck!
There are many threads about Haas admission that you can find in this forum.

u should be able to know ur chances cuz ur really clever ^ - ^
i really don't think anyone has the right to chance someone for haas cuz so far chances have been very inaccurate.
it all comes down to essays and what the admissions officer thinks of them

then how about this question...?
is haas limited to accepting only a certain number of applicants from a CC?
I am aquainted with a few students that have similar if not better stats than I do at my CC...
Quite frankly.. I love berkeley to death but my adventurous spirit is driving me to risk my admission at Berkeley and apply as a business major, just to see i get in... sometimes i hate the adrenaline junkie I am.. enough of my rambling haha please answer the question above to the best of your ability
thank you ^^

lets see....
berkeley is not for the faint hearted, especially haas.
let me tell u my experience
i was a psych major, then i changed to business...
back then i had 8 friends who had the same dream as me... haas
5 gave up... and transfered to other UCs
2 applied as a different major just to get into UCB
and a really good friend of mine persisted but got rejected and decided to attend USC
so u have to think if u wanna risk ur admission to UCB.

haas accepted around 90+ this year again. they accept around the same number of applicants every year regardless of how many apply. they go by number of admissions rather than ratio to applicants.

the ones that got in from my CC... including me would not be considered the top tier of applicants when u compare us in terms of stats, i would say something about the ones that got in caught the eye of the admissions officer. thats probably all i can input about. if there is 1 reason i got in it was the boldness i put in my essay. my stats are definitely not your 4.0, business class president, AGS PTK president, student council president or any of that sort. sure those stand out but find your own path and make it shine.

hey that helps
and u must be sleepless like me
actually i took a fat nap today so I can't sleep
besides it's "hella" hot..
thanks for your advice and i better get on that essay haha

well i m sleepless cuz i m watching all the anime and playing all the guitar i can b4 i have to attend the mandatory summer school... ahhhh.... ahhhhhhhhhhhh.......
10 more days for calso 13 days till school starts ^ - ^

i think the only setback in getting into Haas is that
u HAVE to attend the summer session....
haven't the applicants had enough of carrying burdens?
it's not like studying at Hass is gonna get any easier

you'll be a competitive applicant but no one is ever a shoe-in for haas

good luck
