BTW Stanford is my top choice. My great uncle went there and is writing me a letter of rec. how much effect will that have?

You’re definitely going to need to improve your test scores if you want a real chance

Unless you are a URM recruited athlete with a ridiculous sob sorry essay, I can’t see you getting into any of the schools you listed above besides Notre Dame, UCLA, and USC.

You need to get your ACT up to 34, or SATs to 2200+ to prove you can handle the work at H, S, C, Penn, G’town, and Cal.

Try to find some safety schools where your current scores match the 50th percentile of admitees. (USNWR).

Only USC, Notre Dame and UCLA would be within reach with your SAT. You’ll have to retake it and do a lot better.

Also your EC’s were all started in 11 and aren’t deep. I would say even with a 2400 all ivys are a huge stretch unless as was said above you are an urm or recruited athlete.

I would suggest you seriously look at schools other than the ones you listed.

You have Stanford/Harvard in the bag.

I’m not trying to be a jerk, but those standardized test scores are going to raise some questions for admissions commissioners.

Your GPA is good though.

I do not see any passion in your ECs, since you started them most from 11th grade (2 from 10th grade).

However, even if you do get a 2100+ SAT, I still think you will have a low chance.

I agree with brownman23, you gotta get higher test scores. Not that admissions decisions are made based on these scores, but they’re pretty important. (1st is transcript, then recs, essays, and ecs then finally test scores).

Also, there is a problem with your ECs because, as brownman23 said, only 2 of them started in 10th grade.

And I’m sorry to say that even though you have a great uncle who went to Stanford, I’m not sure how much weight that really carries. I know a lot, if not all, of the Ivies only consider legacy to be from siblings or parents who went to the College. Even then, the legacy only gives the applicant a second read/look through, not a huge boost.

I have to put your chances at less than .1%. 1) Low test scores 2) You don’t stand out 3) Ask yourself, why should they accept me over other people? What do I have that they don’t already? Seeing from your EC’s, you are all over the place. And those school clubs don’t really look impressive. The truth.
