<p>I'm a rising senior that came from China two years ago. anyway, here's my stats</p>

<p>New SATI: v560,m800,w710(i'm gonna retake this)
SATII: chem800,2c800,physics800
AP: Stats 5 CompSciA 5
qualified for AIME during both years I'm here.
AMC10:110 AMC12: 109 AIME:not quite sure, 3 or something, not very impressive
class ranks: 9th (in China) 1st
10th(in US) 61/346
11th(in US) 45/345
GPA: Current 4.0817 Cumulative 3.8823. Both Weighted</p>

<p>EC:
Science Olympiad (one National Second Place, one State Second Place, one regional gold, and another regional bronze)
Physics Olympics
Play piano (played for the school choir the first year I came here)
Designed and constructed a website powered by PHP and mysql for a UPenn Lab paired with a fully functioning background management platform
Second Prize in the nation in the only nationally recognized chemistry competition in China</p>

<p>I wasn't allowed to take level 1 classes the first year I came here, therefore the class rank is a bit low. But I moved up the levels of all of my classes, except for Language Arts, to level 1 during my Junior year. I couldn't get out of the ESL class because of a school district rule. Senior year i'm taking all level 1 classes and 5 of them are AP classes. Will continue SciOly and Physics Olympics.</p>

State Second was Chemical ID
Chemistry Lab in State was 9th
Regional Gold was Chem ID
Regional Bronze was Practical Data Gathering
no chem lab in regional due to scheduling conflict.</p>

<p>Niiiice job in chem lab... how did you go from 9th in state to 2nd in nation? That is weird...</p>

<p>Amazing SAT II scores, but you MUST imrpove reading to around 700. If you don't improve reading then that decreases your chances by a lot. Your GPA is pretty weak, though. They are all reaches, even if you improve your reading score. But, if you improve your reading score and explain why your GPA isn't too good, you will have shots at all of them.</p>

<p>because in state, my partner was a backup. and in national, i got my real partner back.</p>

<p>about my reading score, i'm gonna retake the SAT again this fall, hopefully i can get a better score. But hopefully they'll take the fact that, i'm not a native english speaker and i came here only two years ago, into account.</p>
