If you open up a ‘Chance Me’ thread without perfect stats expect such stereotypical replies. Just apply with the best possible app & hope for the best.
Good Luck !!! :)

I wouldn’t go that far. ^ It’s not like we’re talking about a 3.5 average here. It’s a 2.something…

Unless her grades are on a different scale… Otherwise, I wouldn’t even bother applying to be honest.

Well, if you know the International Standards, then his GPA is 3.9, since 60% in India is = ‘A’ in US Standard.

First of all, he’s not female ![]()
The best way not to get accepted is not applying, so in this case I wouldn’t go that far :)

@KingsXI

Ya I checked up WES and emailed to United States - India Educational Foundation and they say that anything above 60% in India is equivalent to ‘A’ in the US grading system …

And you are right … The best way not to get accepted is not applying … I will surely take a chance …

If I get rejected … there are many more colleges, where I can study, work hard and make my own career… but if I get selected I will be studying at the world’s best university - MIT.

Ahhh I didn’t know that… And he didn’t bother to mention that…

By the way, sorry about referring to you as a “her”. Lol.

And if a 60% is an A, then i can definitely see you being accepted. :)

Good luck! I’m sure you’ll be accepted to at least 1 top school.

@AshishKumar Good Luck :)

Can someone help me with the answers to the short questions in the MIT application. I have already prepared the first draft. I wanted to discuss the answers and improve them.

So can someone, who got admission in MIT or knows what kind of answer do they like, help me.

^You should write as yourself, not write something you think they’ll like.

I can’t believe that a 60% in India is a “A” in the u.s. How sad =(

First of all, unlike US, in India we don’t have any subject/course choices.
In US you can select whether to take Algebra, Advanced Geometry or Calculus, etc. But in India, we study everything from Arithmetic to University-Level Calculus without any options starting from 9th to 12th class.
