My Chances at MIT

Before we get to the STATS let me give a little history...
I am Hispanic... was in the special education program until the sixth grade (they took me out because I finally learned to read at an okay level). I had reading problems which seriously held me back (I barely made it out if the six grade). Now, I am an honor student with the following stats...keep in mind that I am still working on my reading and writing skills (in Spanish and English).

SAT: M 650 (very low), CR 580 (lower) , W 540 (no comment)......

lol....What is the point of asking when you already applied? I agree, don't get your hopes up.

pretty unlikey

Your standardized test scores are not encouraging for MIT. Everything else points to your success at whatever school you attend.

Look out for freshman year in eng colleges. For most eng colleges, it is easier to be accepted than it is to survive freshman year and still be an eng major. Most eng colleges have a common curriculum in freshman year that includes calc, physics, chem and computers all at the same time. The faculty is out to thin the herd. They have way more freshman eng slots than they have soph eng slots. Do not party and do NOT fall behind.

The prestigiousness of your undergrad college is especially unimportant in engineering.
