My Chances at Northwestern (Medill)? Please answer! :)

My GPA falls short: I only have a 3.65 unweighted.

ACT: 33

However, my extracurriculars are great.
President of my school
Founder and captain of my school's cricket team (state champions 2 years in a row)
Head coach of the regional championship Math Counts team
President of my youth group
Opinion columnist for the local newspaper
Editor of my school's newspaper
Active member of NHS
Member of my school's debate team and have placed many times
Competed in Regional ISEF Research Competitions
I also have over 400 hours of volunteer work during high school
I am taught formally in piano and voice collaboration

I am very good at writing and I'm quite confident about my essay.

Though my ACT score, essays, and EC's are solid, do you think my GPA will hinder me enough that I will be rejected?

May I add, I am applying ED because I love journalism and if I got into Northwestern, I would drop everything to go there

Journalism! My mom went to Northwestern and I`m planning on applying once I get to be of that age (Only a sophomore). Jeez, I could talk all day about writing…

Anyhow down to brass tacks:

-Question: As far as the GPA goes, whats it weighted? What classes have you taken? How rigorous? All APs, thats a great GPA. No APs, forget about it. See what I mean? -President of Youth Group? Huh, never heard of that. My youth group doesnt have a president or anything like that. (Sorry, that was off-topic and irrelevant...) -Journalism classes in high school? I know you mustve taken them, ha, but what exactly as far as that goes? -People applying to ED usually have the upper hand. My mom did ED and got in, no problemo (of course, that was in '81....ha)....thatll give you an extra boost. -ECs are definitely great.

Answer those questions I have and then I could help out better. Getting into NW is one thing, getting into Medill is another. They`re really competitive.
