My Chances at NYU

I am currently a sophomore in high school. I have a 3.6 gpa unweighted, and by the time that I graduate high school I will have taken 7-8 AP courses (AP Physics, AP Music Theory, AP American History, BC Calculus, AP Statistics, AP French and either AP Bio, AP Psychology or both). I am on the football team, wrestling team, a part of the orchestra, have work experience, have done volunteer work, and play many instruments outside of school. I don't know what my SAT will be (seeing as I am taking it next year), but based off of practice tests online, I would estimate it at about 2100. I am thinking of applying for early decision. I am wondering what my SAT will have to be, and anything else I can do to improve my chances. Also I am wondering with just a 3.6 unweighted, all of the AP courses and an estimated 2100 what my chances are.

I think you have a pretty good chance. The average GPA is supposed to be 3.6 and you’ve taken a lot of ECs and your SAT seems like its going to turn out well. Plus your a sophomore so you still have plenty of time to study for the SAT and raise your GPA, though I don’t think that’s totally necessary. I’m applying ED next year to NYU but my stats aren’t as good as yours. :frowning: Best of luck!!!
