My Chances at Stanford EA

<p>I moved this post from the College Admissions forum, sorry to those of you who have seen it already. Heres an overview of a wrangling Texan:</p>

<p>STANFORD EA</p>

<p>GPA: ~3.8 (top 10%)
SAT I: 1590
SAT II Writing:770
SAT II Chem: 800
SAT II Math iic: 800</p>

<p>AP's: Calc BC: 5, Chem: 5</p>

<p>EC's: Only a few, but very involved and have shown a commitment over many years. I have a leadership position in 2 EC's.</p>

<p>Random Thingys:</p>

<p>1 patent (relating to my independent research in biochemistry)
Siemens-Westinghouse Semifinalist
National Merit Semifinalist
Will present independent research in Washington D.C.
Research published in a medical journal
Medals in my important EC's
Lots of small stuff like math team and schol bowl but nothing too major.</p>

<p>hahaha i do realize that, and because the im fairly sure the competition will be insane this year, I was wondering if someone could tell me how my chances look? Im such a paranoid person haha</p>

<p>i think you have a good chance of gettin in.. i'd say 55% chance.
don't get too excited yet though.
the only thing that stands out is the siemens-westinghouse SF.. test scores are great (but so are many other applicant's scores), gpa is decent.. the rest doesnt mean much.
i think whether you get in or not will depend on your recommendations, essays, and luck.
