my chances at these schools

hey well im a senior and i have a ok list of colleges i wanna apply too. i have a 3.4 gpa and 1100 math and verbal and 1640 with 3 sections. not the best but ehh ok ill bang it out in college. what colleges do you reccomend. i want to be a aeronautical engineer. i go to a small college prep school and taking to hardest courses. 3.6 junior year gpa. i have ALOT extra curriculars. basketball team all 4 years of high school, track team all 4 years, boy scouts, hosted a benefit concert for a friend whos house burned down, a lot of volunteer work, national youth leader ship forum on technology, started my own web design business, i do a lot of computer programming, i fix computers for my school, mentor kids in lower grades and more. also have great reccomendation from teachers, guidance counselor, principle. also im most likely validictorian because of the workload and the amount of courses im taking in my senior year that i didnt have to. journalism, pre-calc, physics, music, history, american lit, bible, consumer math(it was avaliable and i thought why not). my school does NOT offer ap and those are the hardest courses available.

im thinking florida tech, virginia tech, embry-riddle, rpi(long shot), penn state university park, U. maryland, illinois institute of tech, purdue

what other colleges do you reccomend. the only school that has aero engineering in nj is princeton and i know reality. any input would be great.

I think you have good chances at getting in at Embry-Riddle, Purdue, IIT, and Florida State.

Penn State, Maryland, and RPI are all longshots.

P.S. Apply for both Embry-Riddle campuses, (the one in Florida and the one in Arizona), because it will increase your chances of acceptance. Also, if you plan to do flight, Embry-Riddle, Purdue, and University of North Dakota are all excellent for this. The University of North Dakota actually offers six different aviation majors and has won lots of awards in flight competitions. I believe they are the current national collegiate champion in this field. Here is the link for their programs:

For regular aeronautical engineering, I'd choose Purdue over the others (close seconds would be RPI, Embry-Riddle and Penn State).

hey any other people

what about cal poly, clarkson u., ohio state university columbus campus, iowa state, university cincinnati, virginia tech, state university of buffalo, st louis university, texas a&m, university of illinois urbana, champaigne,

FSU > Embry-Riddle
