My Chances at these Universities

The Ivies + Chicago, as you know, are reaches. I think you’ll get in to the other provided you don’t give the impression in your apps that you’re using them as backup schools.

@bradybest Oh, trust me I definitely don’t consider any of the schools on my list “backups,” I would love to go to any of those schools! My only backup is UT Austin which I will be automatically accepted to since I’m top 7% at a Texas school. And I know I have practically a negative chance for the Ivies and Chicago lol, so don’t worry, I’m not deluding myself into think I will get accepted to any of them, but it can’t hurt to try. :)

You seem like a good student! Of course Ivy league’s are a reach for everyone but for every other school you mentioned you seem like a good candidate! Good luck!

ivy leagues are definitely reach school as u know but others either low reach or perfect match.

I think you will get into UMich. If you are interested in business, Ross is a great option. Its on par with top private universities. Set your sights on Berkeley or WashU. Since Berkeley is public its more of a gamble. I think applying ED to WashU (if this is a place you really want to be) would be a very strategic move. I’ve heard they really take interest into account and are able to overlook slightly low SAT or GPA if an applicant really wants to go there. Its a widely recognized school and would be a great fit, I think. Best of luck!

@shk909 yes, I’m really interested in WashU, and I’m going to visit this summer to see what it’s like. Thanks for the response everyone, keep them coming!

…

All high matches to reaches bc of the sheer selectivity
