Well, I am starting my college applications and I was just wondering if I had a shot at these schools before I bother with applications.

My unweighted GPA is 3.8, weighted is 4.22.
My class rank is 35/585
SAT - 2050 (Taking again in October)
ACT - 35
SAT Subject Tests (Taking in November)
77 Hours of Volunteer Work
I had a job the summer of my junior year
Extra Curricular - National Honor Society, Junior Engineering Technical Society, Brainbowl

My Senior Schedule is:
AP Physics C
AP Calc AB
AP Lit
AP Macroeconomics
AP American Government
Honors Astronomy
Honors Theater History
Honors Drafting/CAD 4

I know this is a stretch, but I was planning on applying to:
MIT - Early Action
Cal Tech
Harvard
Stanford

Backup - University of Florida

I was also considering Georgia Tech and Carnegie Mellon

MIT - High Reach
Cal Tech - High Reach
Harvard - ditto
Stanford - ditto
University of Florida - Match
Georgia Tech - Mid-High Match
Carnegie Mellon - ditto

Oh and I was also wondering if my AP scores will effect my admission:

AP World History:5
AP American History: 4
AP Lang & Comp: 5
AP Chem: 2 (I had a bad fever the day of the exam and couldn't concentrate, I dont really know what I should do about this.)

With a rank of 35/585, why are you bothering to apply to MIT, Harvard, Caltech and Stanford? Don't you know that only the top 1% to 2% at your school have any chance at these schools?

You have decent chances at the other schools (Georgia Tech, Carnegie Mellon, and Florida) where you are pretty much a match for all of them, but if you want to apply to some reaches where you might have a slight chance, try Cornell, USC, Penn, Georgetown, Rice or Tufts instead of Harvard, MIT, Stanford, and Caltech.
