My chances at: Tufts, Connecticut College, Middlebury, or Bowdoin?

I am a junior in high school and am wondering what my chances are at these schools.

GPA: 3.4 (I checked last year at the end of the year and thats what it was unweighted. It may have also gone up since then)
SAT: have not taken yet but have taken multiple practice tests with an SAT tutor and my average was about a 2000 i guess, maybe higher

Advanced classes:
-9th grade: honors french II
-10th grade: honors french III
-11th grade: french V (not honors but more advanced course if that helps), honors Pre-Calc, AP studio art

Extra Curricular:
-Mentoring Program (9-11)
-Paragon Art Review Board (9-11)
-Winter Special Olympics Coach (11) community service

Athletics:
-soccer (9)
-football (10)
-lacrosse (9-11) i plan on playing in college and have already been in contact with the coaches at these schools. been recruited by some of the schools on my list

Other Information:
-I have a very strong art portfolio, and plan to major in either studio art or architecture (my teacher used to be involved with admissions at Maryland Institute College of Art and said I have an extremely strong portfolio)
-I attend a school in Maryland that is considered to be the top private school in the region
-Am very well-liked by teachers and can count on extremely good recommendations

Intended Major:
-Studio art or Architecture

Top choices:
-Tufts
-Connecticut College
-Middlebury
-Bowdoin

Other Considerations:
-Bates
-Colby
-Hamilton
-Trinity
-Williams
-Nazareth
-McDaniel

So what are my chances at any of those schools? I feel like they are all either reaches or matches, can anyone recommend some safety schools for me?

Like I said before, I am planning on playing lacrosse DIII, and have already been recruited by some of these schools, and in contact with all of the coaches. Will that help my chances significantly?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Well, I think we’d need to hear more about actual recommendations, essays, actual SATs, and senior classes. But it seems you’re on the right track. Your GPA is a little low for Tufts, but not bad. More AP classes as a senior would help, too.

thanks samslam. I am only a junior now so I don’t know what classes I will take next year, but I know that I am going to try to take at least 3 AP classes. The thing is that my school is private, and elects not to offer very many AP classes until senior year (they offer much more honors classes so that they can design the curriculum).

I am also going to take my first SAT in less than a month.

As far as recommendations, again i am only a junior so i havent had any written yet, but my art teacher is also a teacher at MICA (one of the top art schools in the US) and says that my talent is far superior to most of the students at MICA now. I can count on him to rave about me haha. also my advisor knows me very well and could do the same.

I have also been told that i am an incredible writer, probably due to my creativity. Hopefully i can write some good essays as well.

Anyone know the impact my art portfolio will have on my application? and how much can the coach do to help get me in?

Also I have a very diverse background. do you think that helps?

for example…

my mom grew up in canada, and her first language is french. Her sister lives in south africa. their parents grew up in Egypt, then moved to France, then London, then Canada. and they both are fluent in french, arabic, and english.

could this help my chances at all? could spark an interesting essay topic i guess, but any other impact? It has resulted in me traveling all over the world, and making me very accepting of all backgrounds. And also allowed me to learn french (i speak fluently, but the class kills me (writing etc.))
