My chances at Tufts University, international applicant

Hey,

It would be great if you could tell me how good my chances would be at Tufts university.

I am an international applicant from Switzerland. I will not be applying for any financial aid,

I completed the Swiss high school system which is highly regarded at Tufts and completed it highly succesful. Top 5%.
My recommendation letters will also be on point, since my teachers pretty much write what I tell them.

My Personal essay will be very good too. I have a professional college counselor who is one of the best. So will be the supplements for Tufts.

Test scores:

  • TOEFL: 108
  • SAT: Math 740, Writing 590, Reading 600
  • SAT Subject: Math 1: 690, German w Listening: 780

As far as activities, I play basketball on a professional team. I visited Tufts last October and spoke to the coach. I wont be going as a recruited athlet but the coach might have a word with admissions.

I am concerned about my test scores. What do you think? Any other college recommendations?

This is the first time you posted stats. You are above average but still in the middle 50% in math but well in the bottom 25% in reading. Because of rank and location Tufts gets the pick of the litter for international applicants.

Without coach support, I would say you need to consider other schools. A 1340 is a great score but maybe not enough.

I probably would consider Lehigh, Boston College and Northeastern. Neither are easy to get in but you have a better chance.

Northeastern accapted me EA and Tufts accepted me ED =)
