i am in all honors classes offered this year....no AP's for seniors this year...
i play varsity tennis, and i am in the drama club, yr book president, i have a job, and i am in world affairs club....</p>

<p>i'd say you have a good chance. is umass the only school you applied to?</p>
<p>no i have gotten into Washington college, U pitt,U hartford,and Guilford and i appiled to Boston College, Bates, and UNC for reaches...</p>
<p>well, you won't get into BC, Bates, or UNC, that's for sure. UMass, or known to the rest of the world as ZooMass, is very easy to get into. That said, you're in.</p>

<p>my friend applied to Amherst ED with a 3.4 and amazing extracurriculars a fabulous essay and ok reccomendations. SAT was 2290.</p>

<p>hmm...MA applicants can get in almost automatically if they pass the MCAS here...</p>

<p>humm thats weird....there average SAT is only around 1100 where else did your friend apply? u mass must have been a safty...maybe they thought that if he/she was accepted they would not go there bc there SAT and GPA where so good...</p>
<p>no, she applied ED so they would have known they wern't a safety. i dont know but at our school, Amherst specifically is reputed to be very good (note: not the whole UMass system, just amherst)</p>
