Im currently a junior with a 3.8 weighted GPA..3.4 unweighted and a 3.5 academic GPA..i am involved in a lot of clubs..250+ service hours..I have taken about 5 honors courses and will be taking about 5 more my senior year. I have taken the ACT twice..i got a 17 on my first try and a 19 on the second time..I think a 19 could possibly ruin my chances of getting in..what do you guys think?

Do you know if this GPA is your high school GPA or UCF’s weighting system? They weight everything differently than most high schools (add .5 for honors and add 1 point for AP/Dual Enrollment). But I don’t think your GPA will be your problem anyway. Clubs and service hours are nice but I don’t think it’s necessarily a make it or break it factor for UCF. Definitely work on those ACT scores. You may get defered for summer with a 19 but I wouldn’t guarantee that. Their average is a 26 so I would try to get it up to at least a 22 or 23. Also, maybe try the SAT? Some students find it easier.
Get an ACT study book or try an ACT class (offered at some high schools or community colleges) to help raise your score. Good luck :)

yeahh that is my high school GPA and yeah im not worried about my GPA…its my ACT that im worried about…though i know of someone who got in for summer semester this year with an ACT score of 18…but anyways i just want to get in lol. and i will be retaking it again on september thanks for the advice!
