UCSD: Safe Match (Engineering)

whew, thanks

i was scared because of my terrible first semester in sophmore year

isn't engineering at UCB pretty tought?

oh, and is there any way right now for me to increase my chances?

btw, i made a mistake i actually had 150+ community service hours, if that matters

does anyone have recommendations at places i could prossibly volunteer/intern at in southern california that might help my stats?

actually i had a pretty rough first semester (soph) also...i got 3 B's, all of which were my first ever, pretty annoying since all 3 were in the 88-89 range...i had a similar question, and am shooting for brown/duke...but people have been telling me its too early to tell, and that if everything goes smoothly here on out it should be okay, so that's my advice to you as well
