I am just worried about the SAT II score...I did get a 4 on my ap junior english and 700 on verbal SAT I...do you think all other scores than this writing test would cover this SAT II score? Do I have a good shot? especially because i m from Kentucky?..
Thanks a lot.

I am out of stater so I assume it's a lot harder to get in those schools..

I think you're a fairly strong applicant especially for the UC's... I'm not sure about Stanford. It might be a slight reach for you. Emphasize the Intel thing and Science fairs.
And yes, your SAT II writing score is not as good as the top applicants applying to the UCs and especially Stanford. However, one score that is a bit lower will not undermine your other abillities. Overall, I think you'll have a good shot at most universities you are applying.

arthur!!!!!!

we need to switch SAT scores or something; then we'd be all set. honestly, what have i told you before? your verbal scores are fine!

just one tip: you stick to the west coast schools; i'll stick to the east coast schools, and then, we'll both be very happy come april =)

binsbts:

UCB: Slight Reach (out of state)
UCLA: Slight Reach (out of state)
UCSD: Match (out of state)
Stanford: Reach

good thing UCSD's a match for me..yay
