hi. i'm korean immigrant but US citizen.
i went to korean high school till 9th grade and started here from sophomore.

i wanna know my chances at UCs.. i'm california resident.

interested major-bioengineering(tough!)
GPA 4.32(weighted)/4.00(unweighted)
SATI 570(verbal)/800(math) planning to take again in dec. but.. it'll be pretty same score.
SATII 610(writing) took it on Nov. hoping 650+
800 math IIC
800 Korean
760 Chem
740 Bio
(and do you guys think putting Chem is better than Korean since i'm gonna major in bioengineering?)

7 AP classes (Chem, bio, physics, euro, government, literature, stat)
2 weighted honor classes (Chem pre-cal)
got 5 on AP stat and bio last year

ECs are just ok....
200+ community service hours
golf team (JV), marching band, did research at UCI bioengineering lab(my essay is about this), class president in 9th grade, lot of science math related awards

Essay is about why i wanna major in bioengineering.. (pretty good i think..)

The thing is that i'm applying for bioengineering which is one of most competitive major in UC..
Considering these.. tell me what are my chances at UCs!!

Berkely, LA, SD, Irvine, Riverside (all applying for bioengineering)
my first choice is SD. i hope i can make it!!

Please comment on it..

Bump............

what about privates..

BU, northwestern, cornell, brown, USC

Bump.............

UCI: Safe Match
UCR: Safety
BU: Match
Northwestern: Slight Reach
Cornell: Reach
Brown: Slight Reach
USC: Slight Reach

korean sat II will probably have no impact since you are korean. colleges dont even consider those sat II's if you are a native.

thanks guys..
wow.. SD has higher bioengineering program than Berkely and LA??
i knew that SD's graduate bioengineering is like the best..
but i thought still UCB needs higher SAT scores and stuff for undergrad..

what is avg SAT and gpa for SD bioengineering??
Is it tough to get in bioengineering with undeclared major in any school??

Bump!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
