I think our chances are very good as long as you write a strong essay.

Good luck!

In state or OOS?

In state

Ok awesome, I’ll work hard on my essay.

In-state and AA with your background does stand a good chance. However to note is that UF is becoming more and more competitive year-after-year. If possible, improve your ACT or SAT - just pick one and get it higher. And do some more on your ECs. Get good recommendations. And the good essay. Sorry if my list seems too long, but luckily you have a year+ to achieve some, if not all. Good luck

Ok thanks for your information.I’m going to take the act again and I plan to learn piano this summer along with volunteer work and a part time job.

@destroyerMVP I would go the other way. Your test scores are already in the middle 50%, do not put the bulk of your effort there as UF places more weight on GPA and course rigor.

You did not list your UF recalculated GPA, but I think it will be a little low, however you have taken some challenging classes. I think you would be better off going for course rigor for your senior year. Taking AP classes like BC Calc, AP Lit, and another lab science help demonstrate you will be ready for college level course work.

I was thinking GPA too, but it’s going to depend on your ‘UF’ GPA.

Yea,I will be taking Lit, BC,and Ap chem next year. How do you recalculate your gpa to UF gpa?

Ok I calculated it excluding non academic and got a 4.22. Is that decent?

Oh and I guess it will shift a few decimals by the time my junior year is up
