Okay I am a black male(which I guess does make a difference)

I attend a very well regarded high school in state
3.4 unweighted and 3.7 weighted GPA
Many APs and Honors courses since Freshman year
1160(math and verbal, i know not that good)
Involved in DECA for the 2nd year in a row and I am competing nationally
Maintain my grades with a part-time job.
I have already been deferred and I am now worried that I may not get in.

I really want to get in to UGA since there are not really many other public school options that I want to pursue in Georgia.

You live in Georgia so you'll be getting the HOPE scholarship...plus you should not worry about nothing, if you dont get accepted to UGA straight out of high school you can always transfer over to UGA(easy). I know plenty of people who went to perimeter college and transfered to UGA.

But you have to apply for regular decision and be the first person applying to the regular decision. The early bird always gets the worm...seriously.

If UGA had rolling admissions then I would think that it would be best to apply early. But since they dont I really dont think that will make a difference. Yeah I know I have to apply for reguar which is due tomorrow. I just have to finish up a couple of the essays and submit it online.

i think UGA is an outstanding school It seems like everyone in Georgia high schools want to go there. Also you are a URM with a 3.7 weighted average, that gives you an advantage over others if you have good letters of recommendations and a great essay you will definately get in. I wish you the best and good luck, I'm sure you will get in.

Thanks alot. I really appreciate that.
